The brand discovered several interesting insights from the survey, including how consumers are navigating their work-life balance while working from home and how they are redefining the boundaries of work, leisure and more. Cambria Hotels’ poll research indicated consumers are struggling to find work-life balance. They are missing the natural separation between work and home and say that it feels like work is “always on,” and they find it hard to “turn it off” at the end of the day. Almost half (45.6%) of consumers feel that they are working more since they started to work from home. For many (62%), the constant access to technology makes them feel like they are “always on.” For others (46%) the constant distractions of working from home are an ongoing source of frustration. Well over half (62.6%) indicated they’re somewhat or very likely to consider a workcation. After the pandemic is over, even more consumers (77.5%) indicate they are somewhat or very likely to consider a workcation.
